When I found out I was chosen to be the Gold Blogger I was speechless. Going to the Olympics has been a lifelong dream of mine. The experience is made even more special by having the privilege to share a passion of mine, blogging, with the entire world. The chance to see the world come together in peace through the power of sport and to share the stories of these amazing athletes is a chance few are afforded. Panasonic, has made a dream a reality. I'm humbled by the opportunity. And I can't wait to share my passion with the world!
About the Project
The five athletes we’ve chosen (to introduce here) have overcome several adverse circumstances in their quest to compete in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games.
They may not be “star” athletes, but like every Olympian, they have an amazing story to tell. Like overcoming meager finances and putting all their resources into training, or battling their own aging body before even facing their rivals in competition. Or the improbable task of going to the Winter Olympic Games while being from a country with no snowfall.
It is the strength to believe in a dream that makes it possible to keep on trying, and inevitably, overcome all types of adversity. We want to spotlight these great athletes and share their dreams and passions for Olympic competition with the rest o the world.
